The fourth season of The Rising of the Shield Hero ( Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari ) already has a premiere date: July 2025 . Along with this announcement, a new promotional image and the incorporation of two new voice actors have been revealed: Takeo Ootsuka and Jirou Saitou .
In the new illustration, protagonist Naofumi Iwatani is shown sitting on an imposing throne, surrounded by his allies. At the bottom of the image is the phrase “Revered yet w(e)ary.” , suggesting the weight of his position and the difficulties he faces despite being revered.
New characters in the story
Takeo Ootsuka will play Varnal , a shusaku-jin and representative of the four master races of Siltvelt . He is a bird-man with absolute loyalty to Naofumi and uses skillful political speech to try to retain him in his nation.
Jirou Saitou will voice Jalaris , a lion-man and leader of the faction opposed to Varnal. Despite being respectful in his dealings, he is a warrior who prefers to solve problems through force. He was also present during the final moments of Fohl and Atla's parents' lives.
Both Varnal and Jalaris appear in the new promotional illustration, suggesting that they will be key figures in this new season.
Events and pre-premiere broadcasts
Before the premiere of the fourth season, fans will be able to enjoy several special events:
Shield Fest – The LIVE of the Shield Hero will be held on June 15 at the Sakura Hall of the Shibuya General Cultural Center . It will feature voice actors Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Rina Hidaka, Natsuko Hara, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka , and Shin Takahashi , as well as the band MADKID and singer Chiai Fujikawa , who have been responsible for the anime’s music since the first season.
Rebroadcast of the third season , starting April 9 on TOKYO MX and BS Nippon TV , with its 12 complete episodes.
Tickets for Shield Fest will be available on ticket Pia until March 25th through an advance draw system.
The wait for the fourth season of The Rising of the Shield Hero is getting shorter, and with these new announcements, the anticipation among fans continues to grow.
